An outlook for
a BIM software
Nataliya Anisimova
ABSTRACT
Most complex
projects in the architecture, engineering, and construction industries involve
multidisciplinary collaboration and an exchange of large data set.
Traditionally, the collaboration between the disciplines has been based on the
exchange of 2D drawings and documents. During the past decades, however, the
widespread adoption of object-oriented Computer-aided Design tools has
generated a growing interest in Building Information Modelling
(BIM). A number of BIM-compliant applications such as analysis tools, model
checkers and facility management applications are being developed. The paper deals with the description
of wide-spread BIM-oriented software and applications.
